McKee Botanical Gardens
Personally Explored by Maggie O'Briant, Marketing Director
Of all the outdoor adventures, McKee Botanical Gardens must be the most relaxing and aesthetically pleasing. This private not-for-public Vero Beach treasure plays host to local events ranging from cooking classes to photography workshops, movies on the lawn to touring art installations. Wander underneath the towering trees that once played host to cheerful monkeys or meander alongside water lily ponds home to fish and birds alike. Take in lunch at Osceola Bistro, find the perfect item for your favorite nature lover at the Garden Gift Shop, or simply lounge among the local flora and fauna lucky enough to call Florida home.
Vero Beach Museum of Art
Curated for Costa by Amanda Aucoin, Director of Catering and Sales
Get to know the artistic culture of Vero Beach while strolling the halls of the Museum of Art. They offer guided tours to inform your afternoon amongnst the arts. But feel free to take in the collection of over 880 pieces on your own. You’ll recognize some internationally renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Andrew Wyeth, and Salvador Dali, and also be introduced to sculptors, photographers, painters, and artists that will surely become new favorites. Pop in for lunch in the Wahlstrom Sculpture Garden and Laura and Bill Buck Atrium, then browse the extensive collection at the Helen Ecclestone Stone Library before moseying over to Riverside Park for a waterfront waltz along Indian River.
Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge
Passionately Recommended by Ashlie Tibbetts, Inside Sales Coordinator
Getting to know the Treasure Coast starts with getting to know the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge. Known worldwide as one of the most significant loggerhead turtle breeding grounds, this stretch of Florida’s Atlantic Coast plays host to thousands of nesting turtle year after year. Archie Carr’s legacy lives on through Melbourne’s Barrier Island Sanctuary Management & Education Center. A scenic drive up A1A provides you with a greater understand of where these beautiful creatures live. Once you arrive, you are immersed in the conservation efforts set forth in 1991 with hands-on exhibits, special programs, and a mile-long lagoon trail.
Rio Coco Cafe
Enthusistically Consumed by Kasie Parsons, Executive Meetings Manager
Most of us take our coffee very seriously. Rio Coco Cafe understands that and turns your caffeine obsession into a charitable mission. Each cup of coffee generates funds that are delivered directly into the educational system along the Rio Coco River in Nicaragua. By combining both their loves of coffee and the community in Nicaragua, they have provided Vero Beach with not only a great place to get a morning cup, but also a cultural center of art, music, educational classes, and togetherness.

VERO BEACH DOG PARK
Two Furry Thumbs Up by Rocko and Tahoe with Chad Olson, Hotel Dogs and their Human (General Manager)
Serving as the only privately-managed dog park in the town, the Vero Beach Dog Park maintains the high level of care and attention to detail that our dogs deserve. They are constantly working towards improving the grounds by planting new trees, laying human-friendly walking paths, building fountains, and placing exercise structures for pups large and small to utilize. As a dog-friendly resort, it's wonderfully convenient to have such a reliable play place to refer our furry guests and their humans to visit. Chad Olson and his two pups are often seen there on the weekends mingling with the locals and their owners.
Frequently Attended by Joe Soto, Director of Human Resources
